About me

Born and raised in Wiltshire, I have spent my entire life living and working in the West Country. While I might admit that sounds somewhat unadventurous, I cherish the English countryside—so there are no regrets here.

I trained as a secondary school teacher at Bath Spa University, where I also received my degree in English Literature. Since graduating, I’ve worked as a teacher in a number of schools and colleges in Wiltshire and Hampshire.

I have long appreciated photography – my first ‘proper’ camera was a Canon Eos 500 purchased from London Camera Exchange in Bath more than 20 years ago. I pursued the hobby more seriously during the 2020 lockdown, believing it might support my mental health and provide a point of focus. Pun intended.

Since that time, I have seen some of my photography published and have captured nearly 20 weddings. I have photographed birthdays, proms, school sports days, even carol services in Salisbury Cathedral. Photography has allowed me to experience many wonderful things I wouldn’t otherwise have imagined.

I live in Salisbury with my family and love travelling and visiting new places – but of course, I always pack my camera…
